At the heart of Naas, Poplar Square has long been a gathering place, steeped in history and community. Butt Mullins, founded by Mary Mulligan in the early 1990s, became a family-run favourite in Poplar Square, named after a well-known local jarvey nicknamed “Butt.” The site itself carries centuries of history, with ties to the old town walls and medieval Naas. For over 30 years, it was a landmark for good food, lively gatherings, and local celebrations. Today, we carry that heritage forward in a new light. The spirit of the past remains, but we’ve reimagined the space with energy, elegance, and a fresh approach. Our wine selection has been carefully curated from worldwide wines and crafted to complement our food.
